2. Data collected
We only collect the data strictly necessary for the proper functioning of the Loviia Com messaging service:
Name and email address: account creation and management.
Couple information (partner pairing): used to securely connect two accounts.
Messages (Loviia Com): messages exchanged between partners are used solely to provide the messaging service and, if the user chooses, to generate an optional AI-based reformulation. This reformulation is processed in an anonymous and ephemeral way, without storage, tracking, or profiling.
Emotional choices (emojis, moods): used to express an emotion or a need within the chat interface.
Technical data (error logs): used for diagnostics, bug resolution, and security.
Payment information (if applicable later for premium options): handled exclusively by Apple and Google (in-app purchases). Loviia does not store card numbers.
No financial data, coaching data, or data from modules outside Loviia Com is collected.
3. Purpose of processing
Data is used to:
Provide essential app features (private messaging, mood sharing, AI-based reformulation).
Enable AI to generate contextual reformulations, securely and confidentially.
Improve user experience, app performance, and security.
4. Legal basis (GDPR, CCPA, Article 6)
Contract execution: account creation, messaging, partner pairing.
Consent: optional features (notifications, AI reformulation).
Legitimate interest: app improvement, security, fraud prevention.
5. Data retention
Account data: stored as long as the account is active.
Messages: stored only to operate the messaging service.
Account deletion: all personal data is deleted within 30 days after a user request.
Error logs: retained for a maximum of 90 days.
Anonymous aggregated data: may be retained for statistical purposes.
6. Data sharing
We never sell your data.
Your information is shared only with trusted technical providers, and exclusively to operate and improve the messaging service:
Firebase (Google): authentication, hosting, notifications.
Apple / Google: in-app payments (if applicable).
OpenAI (AI processing provider): used solely to support the generation of the optional AI-based reformulation requested by the user. Loviia applies its own proprietary processing logic and does not rely solely on OpenAI’s model outputs.
OVH (France): secure hosting infrastructure.
No data is shared with advertisers or third-party marketers.
7. Hosting & international transfers
Data is mainly hosted in France (OVH).
Some processing may occur in the United States (Firebase, OpenAI), under international compliance frameworks such as Standard Contractual Clauses and ISO/IEC 27001 certifications.
8. User rights
Under GDPR, CCPA, and local laws, users may request:
Access to their data
Rectification or deletion
Withdrawal of consent

For CCPA: California residents may exercise their rights via the same address.
9. Account deletion
Users may request the deletion of their account at any time through the in-app settings.
The request will be processed manually, and all personal data deleted within 30 days.
10. Security
All data encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
Secure storage via Firebase and OVH.
Restricted access to authorized personnel only.
11. Advertising and marketing
Loviia Com does not display advertising and does not use your data for marketing or advertising purposes.
12. Age requirement
The app is intended for users aged 18 and above.
13. Updates
We may update this policy. Users will be notified via in-app message or email in case of major changes.
